Currently specializing in efforts with family offices and established innovative companies, the next year will involve projects and events focused on expanding client’s knowledge in crypto philanthropy, business development, and sustainable blockchain with meaningful social impacts. He was the lead author on a research project for the World Bank exploring crowdfunding and alternative funding models for innovative technology. Lecturing worldwide in Europe, the United Kingdom, Africa, the Middle East, and throughout the United States; led to his recognition as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in honor of his research in the UK.

He has worked with notable universities such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, and the University of Cambridge. Having served as a research scholar in the Institute for Business & Social Innovation at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley; Dr. Swart was the resident expert on evolving models of alternative finance. Dr. Swart also served as the Filene Fellow in Emerging Technology at the University of California, Irvine where he focused on FinTech and its impact as part of the Institute for Money, Technology, and Financial Inclusion.

During his time working with the University of Cambridge, Dr. Swart led the first country-level study of alternative finance named; “The Rise of Future Finance: The UK Alternative Finance Benchmarking Report”. Dr. Swart also serves on the Industry Leadership Board, at The Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance, which is an honor awarded to a very few top professionals in the field.

Dr. Swart serves as a board member and strategic advisor to a number of alternative investing and technology firms where he advises professional investors, funds, and consulting firms on market developments and investment strategies.
